About Lotus Heart

Hello! I'm Matteo Lam. I founded Lotus Heart with the belief everybody deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. This nonprofit was founded on the understanding that mental health challenges don’t always look the same, and too often, they’re met with silence. At Lotus Heart we strive to create space where individuals can find community, connection, and change. Our name, Lotus Heart, reflects resilience and growth: just as the lotus rises from murky waters to bloom, we believe in the strength of every individual to rise above challenges when given compassion and support.
